Throughout the first half of the 20th century, illustration was a male-dominated profession. But there were some women bold enough to stake out their own territory in this "old boy's club." This lecture examines their work. Leif Peng recounts their stories in the form of firsthand accounts and interviews, conducted with the artists themselves as well as their friends, family and the co-workers who admired them.
